In my ill-fated 13 months of beekeeping (sob -- I still miss my hive terribly) I read somewhere that on any given day the bees will be searching for one particular kind of nectar and only that kind. So, if that's true, maybe that day was Poppy Day in Denver and your lone poppy was especially desirable.<br /><br />BTW, I showed my husband the Dalai Lama video you posted and all day I could hear him occasionally go to the computer, play the video, and laugh heartily. In fact, he laughed harder as the day went on.
