When we first moved to the US, a friend would give me humongous zucchinis every summer. I used to think that the teeny things in the grocery stores were miniature, specially grown zucchini!
I would slice them thick, brush them with olive oil, sprinkle some ranch powder on them and grill them or garlic and salt. I haven't had the flowers and although I saw them at the Boulder Farmers' Market, it was just too hot to make the effort to buy anything. I couldn't believe it but I left empty-handed.
I think the fermented tea we tasted also had something to do with it. It tasted like rancid yogurt. :-(
You're hilarious!
