Hiker advice

I forgot to post this picture with my Herman Gulch hike photos. Just a reminder that you shouldn't leave long loops on your bootlaces.

I almost did a serious faceplant, thanks to a stray root on the trail.

  1. Yep, those might as well be my feet, boots and laces wrapped around a root in my own back yard.

  2. At first glance, I thought that tree root was a snake!! Glad it wasn't.

  3. A snake would've been more interesting! We do have rattlers here, but one this small would have had a hard time biting through my boot, in any case.

    Alecto, in my yard it would be the hose that I've neglected to roll up.
