Getting better

Here's one with the ISO at the lowest setting (click on it to see it large). A little better, but really, the issue is shutter speed, and there's nothing I can do about that, short of spending a lot of money on a better camera – one that won't fit in my pocket.

  2. I suppose there's something patronizing about "oh, the low-techiness makes it all the more charming, etc." but I really mean it: it is a really lovely photo :)

  3. I've missed you and your bees... and Sophie, who is the bee's knees. I'm caught up and back to regular reading again. BTW, great photos from a point and shoot.

  4. Thanks, everybody! It is a nice picture and I shouldn't focus on the flaws, as it were.

And I don't really covet a bigger camera most of the time. One more expensive thing to worry about. But I might borrow one to shoot the bees sometime.
