Going, going ...

A piano consignment company is coming tomorrow to take the piano. They have contracts with a lot of the universities around here and think it will be a good starter piano for a student. I may not get as much for it as I would selling it on my own, but the hassle of having it moved and then dealing with the process of finding a buyer would likely cost me as much as I saved.

The desk went yesterday via Craig's List, and someone is coming to look at the table today. Then all that's left to move is the couch (out to the alley), the guest bed box spring (coming to the new place) and a pallet of flagstones (also to the new place). All three will be dealt with by Moe's Hauling.

Here's Moe's ad:
Making new plans, Barbara Ann? Want to slip out the back, Jack? Well, leave it to me, Lee – go on, get yourself free! Small moving jobs (i.e., apartment, small houses); dirt, trees, sod & concrete, old & new appliance removal. Basement, garage, gutters & yard clean-up. Painting and powerwashing. Construction debris, estate cleaning, renovation rehab houses. Free estimates, same-day services. No counseling, baby or pet watching.

Take it away, Moe!

  1. Yeah, it was definitely a deciding factor among all the haulers' ads in the neighborhood paper.
