This a scroll that my students made for me in China. It is a poem that says something to the effect of "A room needn't be large to be lovely, nor a perfume strong."
It hung in the hallway of my old house, and I was wandering around with it today trying to figure out where to hang it in the new place. I think I found the perfect spot: the tall skinny wall in the stairwell. I think it will be just the thing to brighten that space up as you're walking down the stairs.
When my carpenter is here in a couple of weeks I'll get him to hang it there.
