Oh, hi!

I haven't been around this blog much, which is a shame. It's too easy to post a quick picture on Facebook and not build a whole story with words and pictures here.

Not that I haven't been creative. I've been cooking a fair amount:

And knitting:

What have you been up to?

  3. Oh, hi to you! Always glad to see you posting. I have so many reasons to dislike Facebook -- none of them interesting or well-thought-out -- but one reason is that it seems to be killing blogs. You, perhaps rhetorically?, asked what your readers have been up to. This one has been up to a whole lot of nada. Survived the holidays,I keep busy enough with my three little part-time volunteer gigs, and I read, read, read. The reading comes at the expense of quilting, which is a shame and a little sad. In the past, all of my quilting was done while "watching" TV. So I'm going to try out listening to books on CD while I quilt. Might work. My resolution for the new year is to not talk about minor (or major) aches and pains. Getting older is bad enough without hearing myself say "oh man does my [fill in the blank] ache." I'm getting a little excited about the 2016 presidential election because I'm one of those people who really do treat it as a horse race. Love to keep track of the silly and probably meaningless polls. And I'm not even ashamed of it!

Hope you keep posting at least occasionally. I love to see your knitting projects, your doggies, and your culinary projects.

Now I'm off to deliver meals on my wheels to people even older than I am. If I make it to the meals-on-wheels stage of life I will give myself permission to complain all I want about aches and pains.

  4. I agree… blogging can be such a chore. I've fallen in love with Instagram. It satisfies that need to share and filters make even a crappy photo look good.

    Are you still keeping bees?
