From a very brief walk today:
Someone's heart bleeds for you. But not mine. I need to plant some bleeding heart, provided I can figure out a nice shady spot for it. Bleeding heart is such an interesting flower. I wonder why it evolved the way it did.
Meanwhile, I heard this before I saw it. Bzzzzzzzzz! Another swarm!
These guys must have just emerged, as they were a lot more active than the swarm I saw Saturday. I was able to stand about 6 feet away, but I didn't want to get any further into the swirling cloud of bees than that. (Click the photo if you want to see it larger. I left it full-size and sharpened it as much as I could.)
As it was, the bees seemed really interested in my just-washed hair. I get my shampoo and soap from Amy the Soap Crone. The lavender-mint shampoo bar is great, and the bees are a testament to its attractive and natural fragrance.
See, Amy? Bees are a good thing!
