If you make a lot of pizza dough, crackers or naan, the dough prickler, pricker or docker could be a very handy thing to have. It gets the air bubbles out so whatever dough you're making lies flat. But it's pretty much a single-use gadget that isn't really necessary for the casual baker. A fork will work just as well.On the other hand, you may find another use for it outside the kitchen:

hahahaha....yes. i am a gadget LOVER but i'm pretty sure i'd resort to a fork than looking for that.
