Sometimes you just want
a sandwich that says Spring

I made three of these yesterday for lunch (they're small): Toasted no-knead bread with cream cheese on one side, hummus on the other, and tomatoes, cucumbers, alfalfa sprouts and watercress in the middle.

  1. Looks fantastic. Now I have minor guilt pangs about the quesadeilla I just nuked for a quick, early lunch. :-)

  2. that looks awesome. I had a Lean Cuisine Roasted Garlic flatbread pizza. Your sandwich doesn't even begin to compare.

  6. Thanks, everyone! I had these two days running. Probably again tomorrow.

Because I like them very much and because I have to use up the sprouts and watercress before they go bad.

  7. That looks great! Its funny because I've done cream cheese and hummus before myself (just with different veggies)... and people find it weird - haha! Nice to know there are other "weird" eaters out there! :) I'll be trying this one soon...

  8. Hi, Ariana. Why, those other people are the weird ones! Hummus and cream cheese are a great combo. What veggies do you use?
